The essays in this volume are divided into four main sections: The first part contains Rudolf Steiner's contributions to the politics of the day for the “German weekly” (Vienna, 1888), which represented the German national interests in Austria. The second part includes cultural and contemporary articles that Rudolf Steiner has written especially for him in Berlin issued “magazine for literature.” Particularly noteworthy in this context include dedicated his early statement against anti-Semitism or his commitment to individualist anarchism in an open correspondence with John Henry Mackay. In the third part of Rudolf Steiner's contributions on Nietzsche and the Nietzsche archive are compiled. Of particular importance are his essays on the occasion of the dispute to the Nietzsche Archive in 1890. The fourth part contains smaller book reviews and various other posts.

Although Rudolf Steiner wrote many essays, few have been translated into English. Many are dated and seem not to receive top priority from translators. For this particular GA/Bn, of the 110 total entries, 107 of the entries listed in the contents remain untranslated!
